Q: What is HauntFest?
A: Hauntfest, at State Fair Park, will prove to be the best place to go for your "fright experience" this Fall! The major attraction is the indoor "Killy Killmore's Fear Factory" a two floor terror sure to make you tremble! There will be plenty of fun on the grounds, including a haunted hearse and more!
Q: How do I get tickets?
A: There are two ways to get tickets:
- At the Hauntfest ticket booth during operation hours.
- Online. We'll have special deals there that you can't get anywhere else. See our Tickets Page for more information.
Q: How much are tickets?
General Admission is $15. Straight to Hell - RVIP Admission is $20. RVIP on Fridays and Saturdays is $25. For added information on special pricing please see the Tickets page.
Q: What is the "Lights On" Tour?
The "Lights On" Tours are special periods of time where we leave all the interior lights in our haunt on so that parents can take the little ones through for a screaming good time. During the "Lights On" Tours Children are $5 and parents are FREE! Perfect for kids of all ages, but note that while this version of the haunt is significantly LESS scary, you should still keep in mind our warnings about attendance.
Q: When are the "Lights On" Tours?
Dates and Times for the "Lights On" tours are:
- Sept 29, 30 - 12 noon to 6pm ( Harvest Fair Weekend )
- Oct 6, 13, 20, 27 - 4pm to 6pm
- Oct 7, 14, 21 - 5pm to 6pm
- Oct 28 - 5pm to 6pm ( Trick or Treat Spooktacular )
Q: What's the deal with the line this year?
There isn't one! No Line! No Hassle! As much as we like pain, the dreaded line is one torture we don't want to put you through. So we've gone to a number system. After getting your ticket you can spend time waiting in Killy's Killer Karnival. It's filled with games, contests and music! The perfect place to while away your time waiting for your number to come up. Once it does we'll punch your ticket... metaphorically speaking.
Q: Are there special prices for Students?
A: Yes! Student Days are Wednesday the 24th and Thursday the 25th. Since the teachers get to play at conventions those days we decided that the students should too! Students bring your school IDs and get $5.00 off the admission to the Fear Factory!
Q: Are there special prices for Seniors and Children under 12?
A: No. It takes just as much effort to scare them, and they get just as much enjoyment. But, parents with little ones who scare easilly might want to check out our "Lights On" tours.
Q: What does the RVIP Pass do for me? Does it let me avoid the lines?
A: Well, we've done away with the physical lines, so in that sense no. What it does is let you skip having to spend any time waiting in the Karnival at all. Yes you read that right. No Wait At All. You go directly from the ticket booth to the haunt. Period.
Q: Where is Hauntfest being held?
A: At State Fair Park - 1200 South 84th Street Gate #4, West Allis, WI
Q: What about parking? ($5.00 or FREE!)
A: We have plenty of parking on the fairgrounds. $5.00 per vehicle. Ample, FREE, street parking is also available a one-block walk away, but please be courteous to our neighbors.
Q: What if it rains or storms?
A: The Fear Factory is an indoor and heated haunt so one thing you don't have to fear is the weather!
Q: Will any monsters or scary creatures touch me?
A: No. The haunt is a no-touch, no tolerance policy event. The customers and actors are instructed not to come in direct physical contact with each other. This is for the safety of both parties. Touch Nothing and Nothing will touch you. Touching things is not advised, you wouldn't want to tempt fate.
PS: Please note that should you touch our actors they may haul you away and eat you. Keeping the restless dead in line around the living isn't the easiest thing in the world you know.
Q: Do you have to be a certain age to go through the show?
A: No. We have found that personality has more impact on a person's experience than age. We've seen four year olds go through without blinking and forty year olds who simply can't take the terror. Parents please use your best judgement of your child's personality when determining whether or not you think that they can handle this event. We suggest that children under the age of seven be be accompanied by an adult, however.
Parents keep in mind that there are live actors in the haunt so it can be more real and intense than movies. NEVER force a child (or adult) who doesn't want to go through the Haunt. Don't forget to check out our "Lights On" haunt if you're scared of the dark. There will be no refunds if you leave the haunt before the end.
Q: Ok, we want to avoid a long wait. When is the best time to come?
A: Come early in our season or on Thursdays and Sundays; the show is less crowded during these days. The best times during the weekends are Fridays at 7pm, or Saturdays at 6pm. This is as soon as the ticket booth opens, and we can guarantee that your wait will be shorter.
Q: Can I host a party at Hauntfest?
A: Yes! You can Rent a Mausoleum for a night!
Q: If I can't make it through the show, can I get a refund?
A: Sorry, but no. We figure if we frightened you to the point that you can't continue, we've done our job.
Q: Are there group and family rates?
A: Yes, special rates for groups and families are available online only! Go to Tickets for more information.
Q: When does HauntFest start?
A: We open on Saturday September 28th!! For further dates and times check our calendar.
Q: What other activities can I expect while at Hauntfest?
A: There will be food, drink and beer establishments available onsite and around the Cream Puff building area. Music on the Move Plus will have DJs playing the music you love in Killy's Killer Karnival and Interactive Games Inc. will have a lot of things to do there as well, including: Dance Dance Revolution, Get your picture taken in our horrific photo background using our state of the art green screen technology. Best of all: Most of them are free! There will also be roaming monsters to enhance the ghoulish atmosphere. The fun begins as soon as you arrive!
